    Upslope's Brown Ale
    Dogfish Head's Indian Brown Ale
    Kona's Koko Brown
    Tommyknocker's Maple Nut Brown Ale
    Shmaltz' s He'Brew Messiah Bold

    While I'm pretty sure there's a list on here that's a consensus of BA communities top American Brown Ales, I'll give my opinion anyways. No particular order. 1. Rogue Hazelnut Nectar 2. Big Sky Moose Drool 3. Dark Horse Boffo Brown 4. Bell's Best Brown. 5. Smuttynose Old Brown Dog. I apologize if any of these are actually categorized as "English Brown Ales."

    Love New English Brewer”s Special Brown. But that’s a bit of a tease since it’s only distributed in SD. The brewer is a British ex-pat though and knows what the hell he’s doing.

    Foothills brews an in house Brown aged in Bourbon barrels, and it's terrific, does that count?

    Well these are another couple of your non-traditional brown ales, but still awesome beers (just my opinion)- Terrapin Hop Karma and CCB Cubano-style Espresso Brown Ale

    Why are people dismissing Palo Santo as a brown because of abv? Doesn't the high abv simply make it an imperial version of a brown but still a brown? Kinda like how Odell's Double Pilsner at 8.1% is still a pilsner, just an imperial version of it. Or am I missing something (certainly possible)?
