    Yes there are others that don't get the excitement over Sculpin. I tried it many times thinking I would "get it" eventually but my tongue just keeps saying it's OK and nothing more. But that's what taste buds do. I also feel that way about the legendary Zombie Dust. I'd rather have an Alpha King.

    First time I had Sculpin was when Ballast Point first started distributing to Florida. Last year, I believe. I had it on a tap at a local bar when they first arrived. Thought it was amazing and it would be my new favorite beer. Then I went to buy it at the local store and saw it was $14.99. Bought a single instead. Was underwhelmed. Since then have tried it a couple of times and it never was as good as that one time I had it on tap. Maybe it's the freshness factor, but either way I'm not going to pay $14.99 for a 6-pack when I get Jai Alai for $9.99. I will try it on tap again sometime.
