In the recent forum on how many of the top 250 you've had, I mentioned that there were a few I had that would eventually drop off the list since they were one-time releases that would eventually be retired. Is there a specific timeframe for the official retirement of these brews?

Furthermore, do these one-time releases even belong on the top 250 list? By definition they won't stay there, much like they couldn't possibly enter the Beers of Fame list.

Perhaps there could be a list of top beers of all time, which can include these one-time only beers? I say leave those off the top 250 list. A lot of BAs take those lists pretty seriously and use them to determine what to buy and what to trade for. As far as this BA is concerned, the more lists the better.

This thread answers most of your questions / complaints about retired beers and the lists in general...

As far as the rest goes, if people really care that much about the lists they should probably calm down and have a beer, its just a list. Not sure why you think one off beers don't belong on the top 250 list. What does it matter if they won't stay there? They were brewed, released and reviewed enough to make the list. They will eventually be retired and replaced with another deserving beer, maybe another one off maybe not. You are looking for them to add a retired beers list? If so, that topic has been brought up lots of times over the years. It would be nice but I think they have much bigger fish to fry than that.
