Top Three Single Hop IPA's?

    Half Hitch Imperial Mosaic IPA - Crux Fermentation Project (Bend, OR)
    Single Rye IPA (Mosaic) - Ritual (Redlands, CA)
    Session IPA - Citra - Culture (Solana Beach, CA)

    So far this year, my favorite DIPA, Rye, and Session IPA all are single hop. If I had encountered a Mosdaic single hop "session" IPA it would have made the Trifecta.

    Nelson isn't single hop. It has Southern Cross and a secret hop in there as well.

    Where did you hear that?

    Anyway,

    Citra Showers
    Nelson Showers
    Zombie Dust (technically an APA but I consider it closer to an IPA)

    1. Alpine Nelson (Nelson Sauvin)
    2. Trillium Artaic (Mosaic)
    3. Hill Farmstead Double Citra (Citra)

    I wanted to have a variety of hops, otherwise I would've picked three Nelson Sauvin beers.

    If Alpine Nelson is indeed not a single-hop beer, I sub in La Cumbre Full Nelson.

    I wouldn't suggest Toppling Goliath right now since they've been a little on the fritz with consistency, but once they get back to normal, seek out all their single-hop stuff (PseudoSue and King Sue [Citra], ZeeLander [Nelson Sauvin], SoSus and Pompeii [both Mosaic], XHops [different experimental hops], Golden Nugget [Nugget], and 1492 [Columbus]).

    Also, La Cumbre did Full Nelson and Father Nelson.

    I'm a big fan of both Father Nelson and Full Nelson, but I'm pretty sure they're not single-hop IPAs, otherwise I'd have mentioned them.

    As a homebrewer, I've brewed up around 20 or so single hop IPAs over the past year. My favorites were 1.Equinox 2.Galaxy 3.El Dorado 4.Mosaic 5.Citra 6.Amarillo 7.Centennial ...honorable mention to Azacca, Jerrylo and Calypso single hoppers as well.

    I have yet to have too many commercial single hop brews that blew me away. Two Hearted is a great all Centennial brew, but after that (at least with the crappy SC distribution) it drops off really quick in quality.

    The internet, so it must be true! Yeah, not single hopped.

    Some have said ZD has another hop now - internet again, BA in this case.

    the fort points also use columbus, so they aren't really single hop beers.

    Everything I have had from the Hill Farmstead single hop series has been great, but there Double Citra and Motueka APA were my favorites from that group.
