I noticed there was no TG thread this year yet. So let's kick it off. @Sabtos brought up a good question, what are the differences between Term Oil and Assassin, having never had them side by side?

What I've heard before is that Term is just off barrels of Assassin that didn't live up to Mike's expectations for bottling or they are just shorter aged versions produced to keep a Imperial Stout on tap and for experimentation.

Any word on Morning Delight tickets/event yet? I see that the release is in August, but haven’t seen anything else regarding it.

King sue 1/6 barrel's: $165 at tap room.

Down side keg deposit is $125... Even if you get it back, that seems really high for 1/6 barrel.

I can confirm this is correct. The base beer for Term Oil, Assassin, SR71, and KBBS is the same. Depending on how the beer ages/tastes in the barrels it goes on to become one of the four.

kbbs doesn't sound right in there as its base beer is Mornin Delight.

I didn't include Mornin' Delight because it's not barrel aged. It's is the same base as the above four beers it's just given the maple/coffee treatment instead of going into barrels.

Or about 4 bucks per 16oz can, which is the format they're sold in

Looks like Scorpius is getting released in 4 packs. $19

Great format for a great beer. Will be getting a case of this next week if it's up to par.

Gonna spend two nights in Decorah next weekend. Besides both breweries, Courtyard, and Rubaiyat, any other suggestions? Good breakfast? Impact coffee looks good for cold brew? Good nature walks? Thanks
