Has anyone tried to go different time (or day) than what you originally selected for DBAss pickup?

If you have to travel at a different time. Email the events email address at the bottom and just ask if you can. They’ve been pretty nice about changes previously

You knew these costs up front - why'd you enter the lottery if 100% you weren't going to purchase it?

You're welcome for the extra that Clark will sell to you in 4 years for only $1000/bottle. Onsite consumption of course!

Calling the guy above a douche and then that is your reply to a reasonable question....seems right

This thread use to have a lot more action, but it's definitely more tame in the recent years. I know I was only born on the date of my Beer Advocate account creation and don't have all the historical knowledge, but Tree House, Trillium and a few other NE threads seem to be taking the flag as most ridiculous and entertaining now.

He just needs to make up for one of the $2500 Assassin dinners not selling.

Is Clark going to put on a pink apron and personally prepare any meal I want then rub my feet while I eat it?

I’d like to think he took my recommendation from this thread and moved both to Friday instead of a weekday. But I was more excited about the assassin than 2 kbbs and 2 MD to be honest

Checking in once more if anyone has grabbed the bottle on a different day without issue? Got what I thought was a fairly curt response when I reached out, and was told I could only come Monday through Wednesday as an alternative. I understand the helpfulness of people sticking to slots, and only changed my original one due to weather. Also thought that since I was planning to go for lunch and drinks, it wouldn’t be too big of an issue given the servers can process them as part of the order.

Perhaps I’ve gotten too used to Rev’s approach to things like this.

A friend of mine was told same thing. Pick up was supposed to be today, but worried about weather. Wanted to go yesterday but told only during the week when less busy. She was planning on just grab and go to make it easier too.

Picked up yesterday. No one even asked what my time slot was. Grabbed a table to have some pours at my “scheduled” time. Hostess was aware I had a DB Assassin ticket, but didn’t ask my name, my time slot, or even look at my ticket. They bring you your bottle at the end of your food/beverage session and scan it then. Your mileage may obviously vary, but they didn’t seem too concerned on a Saturday at 4:00.

Looks like no one is interested in the $2500 buy in for some food and 68 oz of beer as of yet.

On a interesting side note, had a buddy of mine do an experiment and track down what is offered in this package around our old "procurement" club in Madison.

Total cost for all 4 bottles: $1,150 if I was so inclined. Loving that TG greed. Maybe the food is worth $1,350.

Its amazing to see how TG / Clark acts compared to the other breweries I would consider in their tier. Tree House, Hill Farmstead, Alchemist etc... Its not only the dinners but the major expansion of distro. They are the only ones who out of that tier to my knowledge has product rotting on the shelf.

Sometimes I really miss the bomber / self distro days.

Amen brother. For all the complainin' about TG I always feel like the fact that the hoppy beers back in those glory days were literally completely different beers than what they put out now doesn't get complained about enough. If more people had gotten to try old King Sue, Sol Hunter, non-haze galaxy DDH Sue, and clear as day XHops Gold or Zeelander I wonder if they'd have as many shelf-turding 4 packs? They built a big name on those beers then changed every single one of them into a turbid shell of what it was. It's like if Michael Jordan played like a boss in college then when he was drafted to the Bulls said "I think I'll just play like everyone else from now on." These used to be Jordan-tier hoppy beers you had to put some effort into getting and now they just blend in with everything else on the shelf. I miss the old days too - not the chasing around part - but definitely the best hops I've ever drank in my life part.
