Does TG allow proxy pickup for online orders?
If yes, do you know how long they hold orders?

If you mean for a regular beer order, yes just put it in the proxies name. They will hold it for 24 hours I believe.

Credit where credit is due. TG beers appear to have great shelf life. took a chance on some King Sue when shopping in a beer dessert last week. Pretty impressed that it held up so well. It was still pretty bright and expressive despite being in the can nearly 3 months

Went on Friday. They had 2 different vintages of Assassin on tap ‘20 & ‘22. Heard they had ‘21 & ‘22 on Saturday. ‘22 was the clear winner over ‘20. More complexity and depth, less fruit and hotter. Got a bottle of ‘21 but haven’t cracked it yet so can’t compare to last years. Only one pour of ‘22 then they marked your hand. Also had Term Mexican Chocolate and s’mores on tap.

First time I ever signed the wife up and she won….me: 0-63 wife: 1-1

Speaking of, I noticed the wax is stamped with a TGB on the ‘21 but not on the ‘22. Or the ‘20 I traded for a couple years back. Is it because of the gold wax?

Not sure they went through a phase of stamping and not stamping. I think it depends on Clark’s mood that day. Personally have felt 20 is the weakest of the assassins dating back to 2016 ( haven’t had this years yet obviously. 21 was probably the best fresh, had a bottle a few weeks ago and wasn’t as good as fresh but better than 21.

of note dating back to 2016 this was the first lottery I didn’t lose, also didn’t win

Really?! I went on Saturday for lunch. I had two pours of Assassin ‘22 and they didn’t mark my hand.

The wife is loving Assassin 22, I thought it was better this year as well but all I need of those beer is a sip and im good.

Anyone else really disappointed with everything else on tap? First time having Radiant Haze, that was mediocre at best. Citriod was horrible, DDH Sue was old, and what do you know the first beer suggested to me is some stupid triple IPA collab with Blackstack, that was also not good....

*************s just get back to making single hop pale ales for once, jesus this is getting out of hand. Its sad because TG is really starting to push me towards apathy with this bullshit.

Anyone know if TG still distributes to Michigan? They used to and it was nice to get some Of this IPAs. The last few releases I’ve not seen MI listed on the areas. Any idea why?

I think this was said earlier but outside of their collabs their IPA game has been weak. Can’t speak to that collab but there most recent collab with black stack was awesome. Whenever I head to TG which is few and far between now, used to be monthly, I don’t even waste my time getting their IPAs on draft and usually hit the stouts. Those are the only thing that is worth it to me and their IPAs back in 2014 were what got me into craft beer.

Does Toppling Goliath still do Mug Club? I usually received a renewal notice in February each year but not this year. Last year there was the perk of getting a Tequila BA Assassin if you were in Mug Club (which was a fantastic beer) but I hadn't seen a renewal come through this year.... unless I missed it somehow. Or I got thrown out of the Mug Club.

I wonder if they just didn't see any benefit in having it, with their expansion and other sources of revenue. I always thought of memberships as more of something that can be best utilized by smaller, local brewery which I wouldn't classify them as any more.

Your spot on and Clark has felt that way for a long time. Last time I seen him in person he was bitching about how entitled the club members feel. He has always been a fan of a "dinner special" idea to take over for the club hence why every release has a crazy priced dinner connected to it.

I miss having my membership, but it lost its value a long time ago unfortunately. This is another one of the reason why I wish Mike would of just left for good and done his own brewery when they originally had a falling out. That's a mug club I think most would wait in a line for even in this crazy beer market.

Not sure if it even qualifies as particularly special anymore, but Mornin' Delight is releasing the first weekend of August. Ticket sales are tomorrow and are fist come, first served. Here's the event page: https://www.tgbrews.com/events/md-2022-release
