Just a fair warning to those hoping to get growler fills at Casanova's of Toppling Goliath. They seem to now only have two beers on instead of the normal four beers. Now that Dogfish Head has hit WI they seem to have four of their beers on at the cost of Toppling Goliath. Things can change at any moment but PsuedoSue doesn't seem to be on now. I would give them a call to make sure what you are looking for is on tap unless you see a really current post of the beers available in growler.

They post current growler fills available on twitter and Facebook all the time. I don't think Pseudo Sue had been on tap for close to 2 weeks and probably not brewed since the last bottling so there might not be any kegs to tap.

    Not.

TG hasn't made Sue in a couple weeks because of the XHops brews. I'm sure HC's will put Sue back on as soon as they get more from TG.

Wondering if the 4 DFH is to celebrate their return to WI, or the long-term plan. Just have 4 of both for good. I love me some DFH, but will take TG over them, given the choice...

Sorry I was there not long ago and Sue was on tap. It's not like they only get one keg at a time. They are just celebrating DFH and put 4 kegs on. Prior to DFH, they have never not had Sue on tap as far as I can remember and I check them out often. I can assure you it's not a lack of kegs. I would bet if you called and asked them they would tell you that they have a keg of Sue in the back. Casanova's gets hooked up cause they are so close to the MPLS/STP metro area.

Has anyone gotten a 32oz fill at Casanovas, is it just half of the 64oz price?

Got a nice little 32oz growler from Half Acre that could be nice for some of the more expensive pours.

Not sure. Give them a call. I swear they might have a 32oz but not sure. I know they have two different 64oz. I wanna say they have a 32oz but could be wrong. If so it would be half price I would think. Give them a call cause my memory is not stellar. Funny I have a 32oz from Cigar City. When I was there they only had 32oz and gallon growlers.

Learned why Cigar City doesn't have a 64oz growler after my airport delay in Tampa and chatting up the bartender at their airport location. Florida's laws don't let them do traditional 64oz growlers, only 32oz and gallon fills. No one down there sounded too happy about that one either.

Yes, they charge half the price. Must be able to see into the growler

I wouldn't recommend making that bet unless you have some money you want to get rid of.

I've been there 3 times in the past few months and I was only able to score some Sue once. It was even still on their website as available.

Sue wasn't available on 12/15 so it must have sold out over the weekend?

I don't pay that much attention to Sue as it's not a favorite for me. I'm certainly not a betting man. I think you might be surprised unless you have already asked them. That being said... it is strange it's not on tap.

That's just bad luck. I think every time I have been there it was on. Possibly not the last but...

32oz'ers are half the price of the 64oz fill plus a $1... At least that was the case for 32oz'ers of Sue and Golden Nugget. They now sell a 32oz grolwer that is just a shrunken version of the 64oz jug, but they will fill the cylinder style as well.

Good to know I'm not delusional and they do actually have the 32oz now. I thought they did. For everybody else just remember to bring glass cause their growlers are pretty pricey compared to MN. I'm sure it's because you could just fill it up anywhere on WI where as in MN it is brewery specific.

they ran out of the sue......may be a while before they put it back on depending what sells out. the quarts are about 55% the price a fullsize.
