I was told they get as much as they can, some weeks its more than others. They do not hold any Sue kegs, if they have it its on. Usually on 2 lines.

Sue is back on tap at Casanova's as per a tweet 20 or so minutes ago.

Picked up a growler of Sue yesterday. Let it sit in the fridge overnight and had it just now. Does not taste like the glorious Sue i'm used to. Anyone else tasting something off?

A store that sells beer, occasionally runs out of it due to supply and demand??? Say it isn't so!

Yes! I thought they might have given me Golden Nugget by mistake. I don't remember what Golden Nugget tastes like.

Your problem is that you let it sit overnight. Clearly the hops fell off a cliff in that span, turning the beer into a shadow of it's former self.

I've tasted a lot of batch variation in PsudoSue, but nothing that would be as far off as to taste like Nugget. Possibly a mislabeled keg or they put on the wrong keg?

Pretty sure you're being sarcastic. Some breweries will put a plastic ring around the top and heat the plastic up to form a better seal then they do at Nova with a piece of scotch tape. Mine wasn't golden nugget it was sue for sure.

In my very amateur opinion this was not Sue at all. I've had Sue at Toppling a handful of times, once from Nova and have had many bottles of it. If this was batch variation it was way off the mark. FYI my growler was sealed just fine. I'm tempted to go back today and taste the Nugget to compare what I had last night.

I had a growler of Sue filled on 12/28 and shared it with family. Several of us did notice something was definitely "different" about it; as compared to having had it both at TG and in bombers before. Nevertheless, it was very good.

It really is a shame, i was excited to share with my family as well. Really wished i could of showcased the real Sue after how much i have been touting them...

It is a Casanova growler fill. I would not expect much.

My sister who does not like/drink beer, had a glass and actually thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it tasted different by have a nutty and more resiny taste.

You can't post something like this without elaborating.

I picked up 3 growlers of PS from Casanova's Saturday night. Also tasted it at the restaurant. IMO something was off although it was my first time trying. It had a strange "back". Don't think it was a wrong keg cuz I def smelled and tasted Citra up front. Wish I'd tasted Pseudo before this because I'm nearly certain something was wrong. I shared a couple growlers with non-BA friends who like IPAs and they all said it was just OK while preferring other beers that probably shouldn't compare based on BA ratings.

Not hating on TG/PS I just really think something was wrong with the line, keg, or batch. I have 1 growler left to share with my real beer friends and I'm disappointed it won't live up to expectations.

I picked up a growler at Reds in Iowa and while not my favorite batch I have had there certainly wasn't anything wrong with it FWIW. I could certainly understand the disappointment if your first experience was the last batch of bottles as they were my favorite batch I have ever tasted. Cheers!

I've experienced this variation, as well. One particular growler of Sue about this time last year was a shadow of it's normal glorious self, and it was a fresh growler - it was average at best, and Sue is one of my faves. I had one other growler that was just "good", but clearly not up to the Sue norm.

The growler of Sue I picked up on Sunday was off as well when we popped it open last night. None of the glorious tropical citrus flavors. More of the earthy, resiny flavors that people have been talking about. Not a bad beer but different and a bit weird.
