Toppling Goliath availability in FL?

    Forgive me if this is something that's buried in a thread around here. But I'm curious now that TG is being pilot brewed in Florida, how available their beer is? I went on their website and despite it showing Florida as one of the states it's available in, when you search for where it's sold in Florida.... nothing pops up at all.

    I'll be in the Tampa/Sarasota area and would love to get some Pseudo Sue in my belly while I'm there if it's around.

    Looks like it is currently on-tap at BrewHub in Lakeland, FL (that is where they brew it in FL).

    You can find cans of pseudo sue around that were brewed and packaged at brew hub. Brew hub usually has things like rover truck and Dorothy etc. In general though most people feel like it’s not the same quality that comes out of IA.

    Completely agree the quality isn't the same. Mentioned that to Clark and Barb at Maple Bacon Coffee Porter Day in January and it was intimated that was a consensus opinion

    Interesting, you'd think if the quality was that different they'd not want to use the same name but I'll keep my eyes peeled for some while I'm down there, thanks for the info!

    Pure speculation on my part but my guess is either they have a contract with brewhub and have to ride it out, or it’s a profitable venture regardless because it cuts distribution cost and gives access to the FL market.

    If you are in Sarasota there are wayyyyy better options then Pseudo Sue. Go to Calusa, have some beers on draft, and grab some cans if they have some. You will be so much happier. Pseudo Sue is around at TE and ABC, but usually older dates, and as stated above it is no where near the same product as what is being brewed out in Iowa. CCB Guyabera or Invasion are better options. IMHO. But if you can seriously go to Calusa.

    I am heading to Florida from Iowa in a couple weeks so was going to post on here to see if there is anything I should seek out in Florida. As others have said Florida TG is not as good as Iowa TG...don't bother getting any TG in cans is what I tell people around here
