My dad is heading up to the Quad Cities to visit my grand parents next month. While he's visiting he's planning on heading up to Dubuque and into Wisconsin to get some New Glarus to being back for me. I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation, between the QC and Dubuque, on places to stop and look for Toppling Goliath. In an ideal world I'd have him drive out to Decorah, but I don't think he's going to be able to make it out that way as it's a short trip. I didn't see much on their distro map, so I figured I'd ask. Thanks!

Quad Cities sees TG drops every once in a while, certainly not regularly. You won't find any between there and Dubuque. You best option would be in Wisconsin. I have no idea what the locations of places are but maybe a Wisconsin BA could chime in. Casanovas closest

Any decent places in the QC for him to check? I haven't been back in the area since before I was legally allowed to purchase booze!

I'm not sure as I'm from Des Moines. It's always best practice to check their twitter or Facebook to see if there have been deliveries that day or day before. You likely won't find anything sitting on a shelf.

I'd suggest following their twitter account - for most regular releases they do a great job of updating when and where they will be. Not sure how many days TG lasts in the QC area after a delivery is made, however.

TG hasn't been announcing the last few deliveries on Twitter. However, it seems their accounts have been tweeting when they receive drops (for instance, Blackstone & Johns Grocery in Iowa City tweeted on Monday they got bottles of Dorothy's and kegs of GNug).

Your best bet will be to hope there has been a recent drop in the Quad Cities. There are two places Toppling Goliath delivers to here; HyVee on Devils Glenn Rd. in Bettendorf and Hyvee Wine and Spirits on West Kimberly Rd. If they deliver in the time frame your father is here, (depending on what is delivered) it could last anywhere from 2 days to one week+. We got ZeeLander last Monday, and it can still be had. We get fewer deliveries than say Iowa City, but when they do come, we get quite a bit.

In Wisconsin your closest place would be Starks Sports Shop in Prairie du Chein. They usually have some in stock but a quick call wouldn't hurt.

If you're thinking about going to Prairie, you might as well drive the extra 40 miles to Decorah.

Exactly. He initially said he was going to go to Decorah on his way to get some New Glarus, but I think he had his cities mixed up when he said that. He basically has one afternoon, and will have my 90 year old grandfather with him. I think he meant Dubuque because it's much closer to the WI border for them in The Quad Cities. I'd love for him to go to Decorah, I just don't think he's going to have the time, as he only has one afternoon to drive around. That's how this whole thing started... I figured if he was going to drive for some New Glarus maybe I could have him look for some TG. Probably just going to depend on who gets drops that week (if at all).

Both of these HyVee's (Devils Glenn Rd. in Bettendorf and Hyvee Wine and Spirits on West Kimberly Rd) had quite a bit of ZeeLander when I was at both locations on Wednesday. Also have the best selection of beer in general that I could find in the area.
