It's not really Eastern Iowa. Just Dubuque. Maybe it has to do with East Dubuque being in Illinois?

 

That does help explain why leftover Hopsmack (post-Jbros deal) was delivered only to Dubuque (in Iowa at least).

 

Will be at the cacaus about 6. Hopefully the firkins last a couple hours so we can try them both. Otherwise the wife and I will just open a few bottles we plan to bring with us and enjoy what is on tap.

 

Plenty in Madison. Damn it's fantastic!

 

Firkins were Scorpius Morchella with Mosaic and Norseman's Wrath with coffee and vanilla. Both excellent.

 

Just picked up a 4 pack of Golden Nugget last night. 5/9 canning date. Really good stuff imho.

 

Agreed. Just grabbed a bomber of Sue in Cumberland, WI. Bottled 3 days ago and tasting damn fine!

 

I'm sad that Norseman's lost. I would love to try that on draft.

 

Does anyone know anything about the stout Mike tweeted about tonight? Passion project small batch stout?

 

Just a guess, but I think it's one of his own, not a commercial batch. I could certainly be wrong though.

Haha, maybe someday but I think Mike is plenty busy with the operations and multi-million dollar brewery expansion. He does still homebrew though.

Anyone seen DDH Sue in the twin cities yet or know when we will see it?

 

Whats the word on DDH to the DSM area? Anything?

Looks like I am on my way to Iowa City.

 

So I grabbed some of the Sue today but (unless I'm just missing it) there is no indicator that it is DDH. From what I can tell it is just regular Sue labels. Am I wrong?
