Like I said, I don't think they've done an email sign up for any of their BA releases.

^ Speaking of... why don't they brew MD more often?! I know part of the appeal is the high demand, but it requires zero aging. Just saying!

The common thought is that the brew day is super long and it takes too much out of the staff. In the past there have also said to have been issues sourcing syrup/coffee. And I'm sure it takes up fermenter space for a good long while as well.

You are right, but I think we all got what he meant. It is all the highly sought after stouts.

If it is true, it is a pretty intensive (and I imagine, exhausting brew process). Mike has mentioned it takes 30 hours to brew. I also would imagine the maple syrup could be a hindrance.

    And what @mrpeterandthepuffers said.

Like Puffers said - Long ass brew day and there IS aging, just not barrel aging. I'm sure someone smarter/less lazy than me can look up the exact dates of the last brew day and release, but I seem to recall 1.5-2 months from brew day to first release. More than zero.

I'm sure the person who asked the initial question would be interested in Mornin' Delight as well, but let's spend a few posts trying to be exact and "right" about it rather than try to be helpful to someone new...

Yeah, makes sense... Perhaps a new, much larger brewery will solve all of this haha

I just wish I could have been one of those who made the trip to the taproom for the 2013 Assassin release and were able to walk away with the entire 6 bottle allotment they were doing for it!!

Your welcome. Just trying to get the accurate and complete information out there. Which beers were released by which methods.

This x2. Had a wedding conflict that day. While I drank my weight in free Furious that night, it was mostly because I was furious about not being in Decorah for the Assassin release! But I got to go up for the MD silver wax release early in the morning so have no room to complain.

Thought MD was always the copper wax? Or was there a bottling before that?
