There is a waiting list; of which I feel was closed off last year sometime as I'm sure it's astronomically long at this point. When it "opens up" I'm assuming people will be notified and have the opportunity to accept and join. I'd wager that is a very slow process by now, though. I've no idea where I'm at on the list but let's just say my 5-year plan doesn't involve being a TG Mug Club member!

There may be some openings over the next year, but TG has said they will let in a large number of people on the waiting list when the new brewery is completed in late '17/early '18

Going to be in Bettendorf until Friday, does anybody know of some good liquor stores in the area that would carry TG? Any help would be very much appreciated!

I probably am the only foreign fool on the waitling list. But if that's foolish put me in a skirt and call me Daisy.

So you would fly to the US to pick up one bottle?

Also, per Twitter, looks like Rue will be a silent release if there are any leftover from the mug club lottery at some point.

Any Hyvee will have some. Devils glen road will be the best bet. There is a couple places in downtown Davenport that might have stuff longer since they are bar/shops. Call Cru and Endless Brews to see if they have more of a selection. Otherwise just visit a couple Hyvees on the Iowa side, they are all relatively close to each other.

I don't know the cost of a flight from Belgium, but surely it's gotta be cheaper to pay international shipping on some lambic whales or just buy on secondary than flying to the states every time there's a mug club allocation?

If you were on the mug club at this time last year the only thing you'd have gotten so far is 1 bottle of MD and a chance at Rue the Crown.

If I didn't think it was worth it I wouldn't have signed up. Wasn't forced to be in lottery.

I don't understand why ppl get so angsty when it comes to TG and other hyped brewery releases. Yes, a lot of stuff is overhyped but whatever that happens with any type of limited product in any niche market. If people enjoy the beer, have the money to buy rare more expensive releases, and enjoy the process of procuring the limited releases what's the difference. This is coming from a non-mug clubber who hasn't tried any of the TG BA releases or BA's from other breweries. I would love to have the chance to try one of their BA's personally, even if it cost me $50, not like I'm paying that every time I drink their beer. They have plenty of great year-round brews and even their limited release IPA's are reasonable. Bottom line, if people enjoy it let them and don't try to poop on their parade.

    Agreed.

    Me, too.

I've had BA beers from a few breweries: Central Waters, Founders, Clown Shoes, New Holland... that might be it.

    Yes, I do.

Here's the rub for me... I most definitely DO NOT! I'm not chasing trucks or leaving work early or standing in long lines... so realistically, my chances of getting any of the TG limited releases are pretty low.

Besides, the rare BA and other hyped beers I have tried do not (to my taste) exceed the easily available by enough to justify the effort or sometimes even the price. But, that's just me. I'm mildly jealous of those who do enjoy the chase and get these beers, but I'm not jealous enough to do it myself.
