Is blending the issue? Weren't theses barrels that started leaking?

 

Clark has always been a part of the blending process along with Mike.

It's unclear why he decided to release these this way, but I'm cautiously optimistic for the future knowing that this is Clark's first attempt at a stout without Mike and knowing that he's been a part of the brewing/blending process in the past with Mike. He's certain to have learned a few things in the past 5+ years or however long they've been doing it.

 

Anyone know about how much KS is left at the taproom? I have a cousin rolling through Decorah over the weekend and was just wondering if it would make it until then. Assuming it'll all be gone after Friday if it lasts til then.

 

Term-Oil was actually racked from barrels by Murph, Clark, and I after a year in barrels. We labeled them in such a way to track differences between barrel type, barrel age, height of storage and so on. Some of the kegs actually are partially pre-blended too. Glad everyone is trying them and reporting their feedback!

Any special barrels in there that we should be on the lookout for? I know you've mentioned sourcing some pretty cool barrels in the past.

I've looked there before, but haven't ever seen the actual artwork from the ttb site. Neat artwork though!

Why couldn't this wait until the 27th when I'll be there!

 

I left an hour ago but it seemed like plenty of KS bottles available. The Term Oil was very nice but MD was amazing. Didn't try any Chain Smoker because they were only doing full pours and I'd rather have more MD than a full Chain Smoker.

 

Wish there was some way to get MD to go in a mini growler... My cousin happens to be in town there, and I've never had MD or any TG stouts.

With all the bitching about feuds and King Sue and Lakeland cannings, did anyone notice that a new batch of Pompeii was released and is fucking awesome?

 

Awesome tap list at TG last night! Morning delight, term oil, chain smoker, King sue, pSue, golden nugget, naughty 90 and Pompeii. Plus still plenty of bottles of the king to go!

 

So MD is obviously ready and drinking well (untapped reviews). Can we expect the release any day now? Was it released immediately after The Great Taste last year? Or maybe they will combine and do a MD and Chain Smoker release?
