Mental note taken: wait for an hour after official start and/or 20 mins after sold out notification in order to get tickets within 2 mins. Got it.

I had them in my cart 5 mins ago (as of 6:15) then they disappeared again. I'm still trying in between bites of dinner and browsing the landscape of butthurt.

Disappointed? Yes. Surprised? No. Maybe I'll try again one more time before bed at 1am. Lol

How are you getting the option to add to cart when it's sold out? What a bummer for local loyal TG customers.

Hope they go by shipping address, not purchaser. My legal name is different than what's on my debit card.

Can anybody point me in the right direction for information on how the event went last year? What kind of beers were on tap? Guest taps? When did the brewery open to the public? Any and all info is appreciated.

You tell me man, I just work here. It would be less irritating to know for sure it's sold out than to wonder about tickets still floating in the aether of flaming-server-limbo.

I thought the first section was where the attendee name information went?

I was in the early group last year. I showed up fairly early and got into the event very quickly. They had the entire parking lot roped off. As you walked in, they checked your name off of the list and you paid them to enter. You immediately went into a line for your box of beers and pour of MD. The glass you were given the pour in was the one you got to keep.

With the entire parking lot blocked off, there was plenty of room for ~250 people to mill about. There were quite a few people inside, but it wasn't the worst I have ever seen it. I don't remember everything that was on tap, but I do remember Mornin Latte was on, as well as the best batch of Sosus I have ever had. Sosus was for sale to-go with a 6 bottle limit.

People were friendly all around. Outside beer wasn't allowed in, so there was a lot of chatting and hanging out.

After a while, I went down to C&C for their event. I had originally not planned on attending the C&C event, so I didn't have anything to share. A friend of mine brought a ton of stuff and didn't want to go alone, so he talked me into going with him. C&C's share was a ton of fun, but I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I could have since I felt like I was mooching off of my buddy.

C&C had some ticket system that I don't remember the exact details off. If I remember, there were both food and drink tickets. Occasionally they would open a nice bottle of something and people would swarm to try to get a pour. People who brought bottles got to handle dolling them out to others as they saw fit, which did lead to some cliques forming, but many were easy to get into and start sharing with.

I don't remember if Pulpit Rock had anything going on that day or not. I'm fairly certain I didn't make it over there that trip. Hopefully they have something going on this year, because it could make for an epic day.

I was fortunate enough to snag a ticket. Now I have to figure out how to get there. It'll be my first time visiting and I have absolutely no idea about the local scene.

Flights: it looks like my best option to fly from Richmond vA is either to Minneapolis or Chicago and drive? MSP seems to be only 3 hours. Any other airports I should check out.

I think I'm going to get an Airbnb for Friday and Saturday night. Does decorah have uber? what's the best way to get around to the fest without drinking and driving?

It sounds like there's an open share at 4 PM. Are there shares Friday night as well?

Starting to try and put together some sort of plan. Any input is greatly appreciate. I'm looking forward to meeting some cool BA'ers and seeing TG for the first time.

Hahaha! All I can say is there's no Uber in Decorah. There's a single taxi who drives a minivan. Pretty decent guy. Decently priced as well.
