Going to be passing through Iowa on my move to San Diego. Just looking to pick up a sixer or two, anyone know where in the Des Moines area routinely has their product? I'm also willing to stop off in any city on my way to Omaha so long as it's not too far out, thanks!
You won't find a sixer, mostly bombers. If you aren't there on day it's delivered it won't be around, the stuff simply doesn't sit in shelfs.
As noted, TG beers are bombers only. And finding bottles in DSM is not very likely, unless you happen to be passing through on a delivery day (which usually tend to be on a Monday, but not always). Below is a list of places that do get TG bottles in Des Moines metro area though and your best bet before passing through is just to give them a call and see if they have any. Even if they don't have TG at the time, the first 3 especially are well worth stopping at for other stuff, as they have great selections: Prairie Trail HyVee in Ankeny HyVee Fleur in Des Moines Pleasant Hill HyVee in Pleasant Hill Valley West HyVee in West Des Moines Mills Civic HyVee in West Des Moines WineStyles in West Des Moines
Sue was bottled yesterday and will be delivered tomorrow during the day. Bottles also go to Cyclone Liquors in Ames.
Stop at Reds in North Liberty (5 minutes from I-80/Iowa City) or Sanctuary in Iowa City and fill some growlers.
Your best bet is to follow them on Twitter to find out exactly when and where they are delivering in Des Moines as well. They keep up with it very well and let you know that day when and where bottles are going. Good luck.
Go through Hudson, WI and stop at Casanova's. They seem to be the Toppling Goliath warehouse. If they happen to be out of bombers, you can get growlers filled with TG.
That's very true. They seem to take care of their Wisconsin distributers before everyone else. Madison has gotten 3 separate deliveries since the QC received their last one
