This struck me as sarcasm  so I went to to the City of Decorah water web-site to see if the rivers really run with stout and was quite surprised. It seems the stouts might be so good because the water is pulled from Goose Island's wells: http://www.decorahia.org/decorah.asp?id=water_history&level=11&level2=47&pi=2&rec_id=47

From TG's Instagram account: "Following the success of Toppling Goliath Brewing Co.’s collaboration with The Field Museum in Chicago, the brewery has announced King Sue Double IPA will be served on draft in the museum bistro with bottles to be sold in the Main museum store. King Sue will be the second Toppling Goliath beer offered at The Field Museum, along with Pseudo Sue the highly popular pale ale named after the famous SUE T-Rex skeleton proudly displayed at the museum.

The addition of King Sue coincides with The Field Museums exciting
    Jurassic World Exhibit coming to Chicago Friday, May 26, 2017 – January 7, 2018. #kingsue #jurassicworld #beer #chicago#pseudosue #trex @fieldmuseum @tgbrews"

King Sue isn't brewed in Florida, right? LOL

Great catch. I'm excited to try KS. We'll see how fresh they are. Certain incentive to put stale beer out for a "jurrasic" exhibit.

This is working so well for the Field Museum, don't be surprised when they have an exhibit on breakfast foods called Morning Delights in hope of getting more TG love.

I hope they don't keep a $30 price tag on it.

    me too ... :flushed:

because if I'm being honest, if I'm at the Field and they have a fresh bottle of King Sue, Im buying it just because it would be easier than any alternative ...

$30 King Sue should feature a cap put on backwards so it looks like a crown.

King Sue on tap at the museum ensures I'll be spending more work lunches "studying dinosaurs..."

I've never gone to the Field Museum for lunch, can you get in without paying for a ticket to get into the museum?

No, unless you sneak in. :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm a member of the museum though, which means that it doesn't cost me anything after membership to get in. So at this point I might as well swing by for some KS!

I believe anything in bottles or on tap is Decorah. Which is why everyone is so thirsty for PS bombers to hit Chicago.
The stale stuff was still from FL; I'd be willing to be 1 month old bottled PS would be 5x tastier than the month old cans I've recently had.

I'm also guessing KS hitting Field is the KS intro to the Chicago market and we should start seeing it hit distro is the upcoming weeks.

If PS was any indication, it'll be within a few days. :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe some of the kegs are actually contract brewed in Wisconsin. I had previously been under the same impression as you (bottles/kegs all come from Decorah), but I had been corrected a month or so ago in the TG thread in the Midwest forum. I have no idea if just certain beers are brewed in WI, and whether they still maintain all of the more high end stuff like KS in their own facilities.

Seems as though no one has posted for a while on this thread and with Psuedo averaging 2 months old and counting on shelves I can see why. Was wowed when I saw 2 week old Golden Nugget (grabbed some) on shelves and thought things might be looking up but alas that has definitely not been the case at least not in the NW Burbs (WTF TG).

Also just heard from a clerk at my Mom & Pop location that the rep had told him there was going to be a $4.50 increase per unit. He asked if that was per case unit and was told it was per 4-pack.
Was wondering if anybody else had heard about this. I can see the argument on a per case basis as it only comes out to .75 per 4-pack and prices have to go up sometime , but if it is truly per 4-pack there are plenty of better(& cheaper) local options available.

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated because TG will be in for some hard times trying to push months old beer at $14-$15 per 4-pack at least in my neck of the woods.

    Cheers
