Would love to see TG push back into keg production. Seems like that might make going through a distributor easier and more profitable. Plus, they won't have to worry about bottles being mis-handled.

They'd also be able to distribute Dorothy in 1/2 bbls while the others could be packaged as 1/6 bbls.

Driving from north of Green Bay to Chicago Suburbs next Saturday...where am I most likely to find TG beers, especially Pseudo-Sue? We usually stop at Woodman's in Kenosha.

Never seen any TG in Woodman's Keno. Picked up Pompeii and white XHops yesterday at Three Cellars in Franklin. Prob about 3-4 miles off I 94

Your best bet for either of the latest beers dropped will be B&B in Wind Lake. He purchased a proverbial butt-ton of both XHops and Pompeii. By next weekend, they will likely be sold out everywhere else.

PseudoSue is only available infrequently. If coming from Iowa, bottles are produced early in the week; any bottles that will make it to SE WI arrive by W/Th/Fri. Things just recently started coming in from Florida (including 12 oz PseudoSue), so that is harder to pin down. In either case, they don't alert stores that a shipment is available until a day or two ahead at max.

If you keep eyes out, you'll know what is (and consequently: what isn't) available while you're travelling through the area. I suggest Facebook. Check the following pages: TG, Three Cellars, B&B, and Discount Liquor. Releases are usually announced by the stores within an hour or so of official availability. Three Cellars also puts out an email alert whenever they get a drop; you can sign up on their website.

    Good luck!

All TG bottles available for consumption at Champps, 45 seconds of the Moorland Rd exit on 94 in Brookfield. Stopped in for 1 beer yesterday, saw 3 bottles of Psuedo Sue get popped

Gotta admit, I'd rather see those TG bottles go out to retail shops than for on-site consumption, even at a great place like Chammps.

Drinking a Pseudo Sue from a just purchased 4-pack ... now I know why people love this beer so much. I had it from a bomber in winter and really didn't care for it (bitter vegetal flavors on the finish). This batch is friggin delicious.

I feel the same way. I've heard some people say that the bomber version was better than the 12 oz format, but I think the other way around. Either way, it's nice to see a more steady availability of this awesome brew.

Its funny you both mention that, because I definitely agree. Had the 22oz format a couple months back and it wasn't that appealing (perhaps it wasn't super fresh) I just got a 4pk last week though and it tastes great! Easily one of my favorite pales

Is there any Pompeii hanging around Milwaukee currently?

Both Discount Liquor locations got it in yesterday so should still be there, probably shops as well.

If you head into Kenosha, Tenuta's carries TG, I know they have Dorothy, just not sure if they have anything else.

TG PsuedoSue bombers were amazing, but the 1st batch of 12oz'ers were awful. The 2nd batch that just released is much closer to the bombers, but not quite there yet.

Thanks. Got Dorothy and 1492 in Green Bay. Had to save the PseudoSue hunt for another time (the owner of the store in Green Bay told me the Florida-made Sue's weren't the same).

I had the opposite reaction, for what it's worth. Felt like the 12 oz batches are a touch better balanced than the bombers had been lately.

I thought the same thing - I enjoy the 12 oz bottles way more than I ever did when I used to get it in bombers.

For anyone in the northern suburbs of Milwaukee, PseudoSue and Dorthy are both available at Kellies Market in Cedarburg.

I really think this second batch is really good. Really well ballanced beer with a tone of nose and flavor.

Did you have the 1st batch of the 12oz, specifically the ones contract brewed in Florida? I know I wasn't along in thinking that batch really fell off, but perhaps we had different batches altogether.

I had the 5/29 batch, pretty sure it was the first FLA batch. Just picked up the second batch today, so I'll try a side-by-side at some point this week.

The last bombers I had out of Iowa just had way too much hop sediment and I felt that the Citra actually weighed down the beer, something I never thought was possible. I do think that the bombers out of IA probably have some variation depending on how much sediment gets into each bottle, and possibly from batch to batch. My feeling is that the FLA brewing operation is taking extra steps to insure a uniform drinking experience, so we'll miss out on the "outlier" bottles.
