I agree. It's terrible. Stop it.

My husband and I will be getting Into town late afternoon Friday. We will try to hit up the C&C tapping Friday. Where are some good places for dinner/breakfast? He scored release tickets, so I'll have time to kill while he gets his allotment in the morning and I need food(perhaps a beverage or two as well) to function!

Out of curiosity, would it be more enjoyable to bring to a share the Cycle/TG barleywine collab Home State, or Bonded in Sin (Cycle + 18th St chocolate bourbon barrel aged stout). I know some folks are less interested in stouts in warm weather, but to me barleywines are a more cold weather appropriate beer.

The last three Cycle collabs I had (Angry Chair, Answer, and Casita) were the best Cycle stouts I've ever had. I'm guessing these two will both be great as well. Plus, Lost DOS/Rare DOS 1 won't arrive to me in time before we head out

Ok so as far as two forms of ID needed what is acceptable? Drivers license and a credit card ok? First timer here

I think Rubiayat has a ticketed event Friday night, so I'm not sure if they're open for regular dinner hours. I'd recommend them first for dinner.

La Rana is good as well, but not as good of beer selection.

T-Bocks and Good Times are sports bars with great bar food and good tap selections.

Haymarket for breakfast. I'd recommend T-Bocks as well, but that might be a challenge, given that they're having pours.

You likely won't need a second one, they said they only would use it if there were questions on the drivers license.

This is what they responded to me as acceptable second forms of ID when I asked for the KBBS/Assassin release:

Bring anything that the bank would accept as a second form of ID…pay stub, credit card statement, etc.

OK, so I think this has already been covered but does anyone know if/when TG taproom will be open to general public after the release on Saturday? I think I saw something about them opening to the public at 4:30? We'll be in Decorah for other events already this weekend and with wife and baby in tow I won't really be able to participate in any MD activities but am hoping to stop into the taproom before we leave town Saturday night.

4:30. I would also think of the public taproom opening as being part of the 'MD activities' for practical reasons. If past releases are any indication, it will packed shoulder to shoulder with folks.

Yeah, I expect as much. I figure we'll swing by and check it out but I might just have to skip it this trip. Hopefully can grab a few bottles around town to bring back from TG and/or PR but otherwise might have to wait until next time we get to Decorah.

I stopped into the taproom on KBBS night (after eating dinner at Rubaiyat) and the lot had available parking. There were people left, but no lines and grabbing glassware only took a couple minutes. Pretty sure all the good taps were gone though.

Rubaiyat will not be open to the public on Friday night. Ticket holders only.

People bring/wear backpacks to pick up their bottles and or to bring bottles to shares or just small insulated bags?
