Everything is the same except the hops themselves. If we can get some of these hops again, I'll change a couple things based on the personalities of some of the hops.

If you can get more of the hops used in Red that would be awesome. That beer is outstanding!

I was lucky enough to get a bottle of each. They went super fast in Des Moines.

Haven't had green yet, but red was great. Lots of tropical/citrus notes. Maybe some grapefruit in there too? And something slightly herbal at the end. Very tasty.

Merp. Looks like we won't be participating in this experiment. I even had Tuesday off :slight_frown:

If anyone in the Iowa City area has one of each they want to swap for something along the lines of a Supplication, Consecration, or Cantillon CG 375 shoot me a BM (or some stouts if that's more your thing).

:rolling_eyes:I guess I was too slow and didn't get any in DSM either. Total bummer. For me working and family always take precedence over beer. Priorities!

Sounds like if all goes well, the next 2 XHops beers (blue and yellow label) will be bottled late next week!

    Mike,

I would like to start out by saying, wasn't a fan of hoppy beers as most are the bitter bombs, but I tried some Sue for the first time on New Year's and I never had an easier time gulping down a bomber of beer, just delightful. Well done Sir!

Drinking a Blue tonight - very little head, much milder than the Red and Green, good blend of piney and citrusy flavors, expected low malt presence, sort of reminds me of a wet hop ale. Very good, but not nearly as in your face as the Red and Green were (in different ways).

Anyone in Des Moines get any that didn't take the day off work to chase the trucks? Kinda bologna sandwich, but oh well. Got to Fleur and Valley West less than 10 minutes after the truck dropped them off and both were long gone the managers said. Wish Des Moines had a place like Casanova's that could get cases of each opposed to one per.

I got both my bottles at Fleur. I waited for 30 minutes with the rest of the stooges! They would have been gone almost with the initial people waiting. Happy group though!
