I love the Xhops Gold. We did a side by side with fresh xhops vs fresh king sue and all three tasters preferred the xhops. KS is a great beer, but overrated IMO. With the last KS release a couple weeks ago I didn't even consider driving to decorah when I could go to Hy Vee and get xhops. JMHO.

 

They just tweeted that it will hit distro. Does this stuff hit the Milwaukee area? I couldn't find any of the last release of Pompeii there...

 

Yeah it should hit the Milwaukee area. The first run of Gold was all over. Rays and discount should have it for sure. Rays just got a delivery of PS today.

If this came to Madison in good quantity, I would easily buy 6 bottles.

Any Gold in Madison yet?

 

Gold hit all over Milwaukee today. The store I was at had maybe 100 bottles. I would guess it should arrive in Madison by tomorrow at the latest.

 

Probably not...haven't heard anything from TG yet on a delivery, so maybe Friday at the earliest, but maybe next week. All up in the air right now.

 

Bummer. I just figured Madison would be the next stop on the way back to Iowa.

I picked up 4 bombers of Gold today in Madison!

 

I will be driving through Madison tomorrow. Anywhere off of 90 that might have Xhops Gold? Doesn't sound like we're getting this one in Minneapolis.

 

I'm not sure if anywhere in Madison will have any, but I can set up an IP trade in Indianapolis if you'll be passing through there. Let me know!

Off of I-90? Maybe you could try Liquor Central in the Dells, they get TG shipments. Don't know if they get Xhops Gold, you could call ahead.

Otherwise you'd have to come into town, slightly out of your way- I'd suggest Trixie's. Am I missing any spots that are more convenient to a traveler coming through on I-90/94?

Obviously not who you asked but gonna answer it anyways, I think it is just as good as the first batch, which is to say it is amazing. Probably the fastest I've drank a bomber in a looong time, just was too tasty to pace myself!

 

I bought 6 bombers. It's just as good as the last batch. They need to make this as much as possible because it is as good as the Trillium Fort Point I had over the summer. I also prefer it over both King Sue and Sosus, but those are also hard to obtain.
