What’s the verdict so far? Seen a couple of solid-but-not-mind-blown reviews. I know nothing about them except that a friend of a friend invested money in them.
Still haven’t gotten around to trying their stuff, but when their taproom opens I’ll probablty check it out since it’s in Manhattan. Also I’m pretty sure that almost everything from Alewife is actually brewed here.
I had Almost Famous recently. Amazing nose of hops bursting out the glass. The flavor was a touch too sweet for me, but overall I thought it was very good.
I just saw somebody on reddit say, regarding Alewife, that Torch & Crown brews stuff for them at the Bronx Brewery facility, so I suppose their own stuff comes from their too. Which would make sense, I've been scratching my head how they plan to make money producing beer in Manhattan.
