That place looks awesome. Hopefully a new owner will buy and keep the vibe going and great taplist.

 

I wish Dave a good retirement. So many good times there.

 

Only there once came out very sozzeled

 

Went to Toro last night, the place was packed. Merch was flying off the shelves too. Felt very much like saying goodbye. Ticked a few new beers, and one last pint of Reality Czeck to see us on our way.

 

I guess last year's barleywine fest might've been the last? Bummer

 

Soon as I leave the whole city falls apart!

 

2013 was my first time at Toronado and I had nothing but Moonlight beers (which was awesome). As I waited to get a seat at the bar, I stood in the same place for about ten minutes or so. Then when a seat became available, as I tried to take a step, my foot was stuck to the ground because of how sticky the floor was. Yep. It’s a dive. And I love it.

 

My favorite bar, of any kind, forever. Drank more Reality Czech and Pliny there than you can imagine. Any you guys with deep pockets thinking about it?

 

I could sell 2 of our homes and purchase it, but it’s not in our retirement plans.

Does anyone know if they're going to stay open until a sale goes through or are they shutting down after the 16th? The wording here is ambiguous.

I'll be in SF the following weekend, and it would be a shame to miss out on a (last?) visit to one of my favorite bars by just a few days.

 

I’d hope at least until the building is sold and the keys handed over, if not for many, many years following that.
