I remember trips with friends heading to Zeitgeist and Toronado for beers before hitting a show in SF and then driving back to LA the next day. Went to Zeitgeist a few years back with my old buddy that lives in Oakland now, and he was like "It's really not the same, but we can check it out". Place was just overrun with tech bros and suits. Really hope that it isn't going to be the same outcome for Toronado, but I'll always have the memories of multiple trips to the bay to head here, and the time when 2am hit and the bartender just asked if we wanted to keep drinking, so he shut the door and a group of 8 of us with the bartender drank until 5am haha.
