So glad it's not Toronado Portland. Portland gets all the nice things. ;-)

They damn well better send a surly, SF-style staff, and not a nice SD-style staff!

Ha, ha, ha... I agree with you Terry. I liked the SD Toronado just fine, but I love the SF version. Would love to see something comparable in Seattle.

A little more information, it's owned by Matt Bonney. He has talked about it on his facebook. Supposed to be right by the Roosevelt WF.

It's because we already have the Portland Toronado. We call it Apex.

AWWWW YEAH. ANOTHER NEIGHBORHOOD BAR FOR ME!!!

    ROCK ON.

I wonder if it's in the new development right next to the parking lot?

Well, if Seattle Toronado takes credit cards I'll like it better than Portland "Toronado".

Agreed. My decision to move over to Maple Leaf a couple years ago is looking even better...

So I can't figure out where it's gonna be on Roosevelt, especially if it's gonna be by WF. Unless something is going out of business, it's in the upcoming light rail construction space or... uh... no clue.

Supposedly in the space currently occupied by Mutiny Hall.

Oof. I was thinking that Toronado might put a damper on MH's already dwindling business.

There goes a kid-friendly beer spot in my 'hood. :slight_frown:

Hopefully Toronado can break the curse on that location. Nothing in that spot has managed to survive lately (Jalisco, anotherr Mexican place, and now Mutiny Hall).

It's sort of a shame. I used to live in Greenlake and I was excited when the place opened and I heard that they were going to have a good beer focus ... but they just missed the opportunity to develop a personality. I went once and it just seemed like they lacked passion, focus ... they had one foot in "good beer", one foot in "neighborhood spot", one foot in "generic sports bar", and one in "bar food spot."

My wife agrees with you completely. She loves Hudson Public House (same owners), but finds Mutiny Hall to lack a distinct personality. "Sports bar? Beer place? Make up your mind."

They always had a god tap list, though. Cascade, Russian River (before they pulled out), Black Raven, barrel-aged beers, etc.

And one foot in the "blare the music as loud as possible during all hours of the day and let our bartenders and kitchen staff smoke cigarettes just outside the front door spot."

I get a buck off my first beer for using their ATM, so can't complain. SF Toronado is also cash only from what I can remember, but it's been a while.
