When did all of this happen??

We visited Logsdon last summer with our two young kids and they had a great time running around the property and looking at the big fuzzy cows

In Portland, most brewpubs allow kids, although there can be odd time restrictions (for example, children are only allowed at Hair of the Dog until 8pm). Breweries that are just a tasting room are less likely to allow children (in general, I don't think you can allow minors if you don't serve food, but Upright proves there's some sort of loophole in existence). I can't particularly think of anything as restaurant-like as Brouwers or the Burgundian in Portland that doesn't allow children.

I don't think they're hurting for business. Every time I stop by they seem busy enough to way to busy.

It's impossible to imagine Brouwers with kids - what a disaster that would be. Burgundian could probably work, but theres no point in even really discussing it - they've made their stance very clear. At the end of the day babies and dogs don't buy pints.

Back on topic, I wonder when Tomme is coming up to drop off some beer of the public transportation type.

I think @fsck is referring to a certain Lost Abbey beer brewed for the Toronado and named for a very specific kind of public transportation commonly associated with San Francisco.

TL;DR: I think he means Cable Car.

Bonney told me at the grand opening party that CC was supposed to happen before the end of the year. Since that never happened... Did the locations in CA get the 2014 vintage? Or was that delayed?

Only SF Toronado is ten times cooler than Apex will ever be and you can get a Pliny for less than $8. No cards accepted at either so no difference there.

Couldn't disagree more with that assessment.

I like SF Toronado a lot, but I still think your "ten times cooler" assessment is difficult to take seriously.

Apex selection is vastly superior plus there is outdoor seating for a million. I've been to Toronado many times, and appreciate it for its historical significance, but the taplist seems pretty damn similar every time

Today I learned that beer drinkers are numerically challenged: SF Toronado is 10 times as cool as Apex but Apex seats a million. Does this mean that SF Toronado seats 10 million or that seating too many people makes you less cool.

    Beer and math don't mix.

Definitely not. Coolness goes up with fewer people who can get in. Time to get a velvet rope.
