The way you say "as always" so nonchalantly about DDG makes me hate you a teensy bit. :-)

Definitely rolled in at 11:30 and got a booth, and a DDG. Place was great, beer was fantastic and Matt was in high spirits.

I got there around 10:45 and there were about 20 people in front me. It was pretty chill though.

I was able to get all the beers I wanted. I got DDG, Cuvee de Tomme, Cocoa Bender, and Imperial CoCoNut Porter.

I had a great time yesterday. The Toronado folks should be congratulated. I had some DDGizzle, Cuvee de Tomme and a Furious . . .

Anyone privy to some rare(er) shit?

Furious and DDG are gone. Everything else still on tap.

Looks like people had some bottles out. Upland Blackberry...

Back from Michigan. Got home and my wife was all "You can go to Toronado if you want."

Not arguing with that. Cacao Bender was fantastic, PDX Punch is basically a tasty Sangria sour and Surly Hell was great for watching Rodney pitch the 9th.

If you weren't interested in DDG, head over to Toronado. Everything else is still on tap and it's quiet.

Can anyone clarify about whether the Surly was Cocoa or Cacao Bender? I can't find anything online about Surly Cocoa Bender, just Cacao. Nevertheless, it was really good and almost made up for the fact that Furious was gone by the time that I got there.

It was Cacao Bender. Cocoa Bender does not exist.

When I showed up, they also had some Fremont Bourbon Barrel Abominable on tap, which was a nice treat. I'm guessing the bartender was new because he started to pour me a full pint until the other guy was like "Uh, dude, that's a 12 oz." My liver thanked him.

My PDX punch was in a tiny wine glass, not the standard 12 oz. goblet/tulip/whateveryouwanttocallit. Not a problem, but still interesting.

That's what both the Lost Abbey's came in also. Looked like a 6oz. wine glass.

Jokes on him - 7 miles only really earns you like 2 beers, less if they're high ABV. ;-)

A lot of times I'll do a 4-5 miler to Fremont, have a beer and then run the last two miles home.

Low ABV, I'm basically getting some carbs to fuel me home.
