You have a Sunday afternoon free in Toronto. It's your first and likely only time in this city. What are a few must visits for beer, food, and rock or blues music? TIA.

For beer I would go to either Bellwoods, Bar Hop or Birrerra Volo. Bellwoods and Bar Hop have pretty good food too.

I will leave the music suggestions to those with more experience than this homebody.

Birreria Volo for beer and PG Clucks (next door) for fried chicken. Volo will serve Clucks to your table too if you want it all at once. Bellwoods (Ossington) should be your other beer-related stop. Your other, slightly less beer focused option, is to head further west down College St to Bar Isabel - fantastic food (rated as one of Canada's best restaurants) and a great beer list.

Dont forget to take a trip to Kensingston market; eclectic neighborhood food + thirsty and miserable dive bar.

Always wanted to check out Thirsty & Miserable. I've heard good things. Cash only though, correct?

Have actually been there. Cool, interesting spot. Different vibe for sure. Definitely worth a stop. Yes, cash only last I was there.
