So I see 4 packs of 16 oz Sierra nevada Torpedo cans for 8.99, yet a 6 pack is 6.99? So cans are cheaper from the many, many discussions and this is less liquid but yet more expensive? Am I missing something here?
Torpedo tallboys ??? Oh yes !!! Can't wait to get these out here, and as for pricing its just like alot of the bmc brands ads on every convience stored cooler door, if youll notice some places have them priced maybe a dollar more or less at the most, makes no sense to me either
Four 16 oz. cans and 6 packs of bottles are comparable in price here in Oklahoma, the only difference I have found is the cans are fresher as they are new…yum either way and I will keep buying both. I love Sierra Nevada…
$9.99 here in NEPA. So far I've only seen it in one bottle shop. It's canned on 1/10/12 and still tastes awesome! :: 100th Post ::
I've only seen 16 oz. Torpedo cans in one shop. They were sell for $9.99 same price as the 12 oz. bottle 6 pack.
Here the 4pk 16oz cans are $7.99, 6pk 12oz bottles are $8.99 which puts them at the exact same price per ounce.
Assume that it's the retailers. See http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/sierra-nevada-torpedo-can-issues.3986/#post-45461.
$.7.99 4/pk cans and the same for bottles i personally like the pint cans better even thou it's cost's more
What's in a case? Never bought pint cans before - is that for 24? Or is it something odd like 18 or 20?
Yeah, I know 18/4 doesn't jive - but some breweries sell "loose" cases, so that wasn't really a factor. And in that case (sorry), the cans are only slightly more expensive than the bottles (going by the $35/case price near me). Not too shabby.
Near me in MA, the tallboy 4 packs are just slightly less expensive than the 6 packs, as they should be (8oz less). IMO the canned version tastes more like the fresh Torpedo draft I've had during my travels out west.
