They aren't letting everyone in. Prob 50 people still waiting to get in. Pappy Cake gone in 20 mins. What a wonderful event....

Wow, that's actually a great deal relative to the $115 bottle price at Westbrook, which I think was the only other place you could get it.

Solid, just had higher expectations for it, fell a little short.

I thought Pappy cake was awesome, don't have a previous BA Cake experience to compare it to though

I think the mistake Torst made was selling multiple pours of Pappy Cake to people. The largest table closest to the bar had like 12 pours sitting on their table that they saved for friends that arrived later (or they had multiple pours for themselves). I guess they could have handed out tickets to people but then people would redeem their tickets for a pour just "because" which I don't like either. I think they should have restricted Pappy pours to 1 per credit card/order maybe.

I was fortunate enough to get a pour of the Pappy Cake and I thought it was incredible. Maybe one of the best things I've ever.

The other thing that was insanely annoying is that I counted 7+ people that cut the line because friends "saved" them a spot closer to the front. Nobody complained, but I think that is incredibly uncool given how long everyone had to wait.

This seems to happen a lot, especially at releases. Aside from handing out wristbands, not much can be done about people being jerks.

You're probably right. I just feel like if there had been an employee walking up and down the front part of the line, maybe it would have helped or maybe it would've encouraged someone to speak up. I would have had no problem saying something to someone but there was literally no one to say anything to. It didn't help either that most of the "cutting" took place much closer than I was.

I agree with the above. They were cognizant that the pappy was going quickly & tried to start limiting folks but it was a lil late at that point. I thought the pappy cake was very good.
