You should try their Croxleys Anni Ale collab with Sand City and Barrage. Its NEIPa style with plenty of bitterness. Its awesome.

I'm visiting LI this week and was going to check this place out. Based on the some of the comments here, looks like there may be some better options in the general vicinity. Any suggestions?

Ever since this store opened, I've noticed that it doesn't appear in the store locator function on the Total Wine website. I was wondering how long it would take for it to get reflected in their system. Turns out, this "New York Marketplace & Brewery District" store is technically a different company and they operate independently from regular Total Wines. Or at least something to that effect. I have no idea if this is due to legal reasons in NY regarding wine and beer. They are testing out this food and beer store approach.

It's NY laws. Same as how BJ's, stew lenords and Costco also have liquor stores attached under "different ownership".

To be clear, I figured that Total Wine was getting around state law by keeping the stores physically separate. I didn't realize that the companies had to be separate to the point that the staff in the store informed me that there's "no affiliation." That seems like a bit of an exaggeration on their part, but still, they are separate enough that the NY stores (beer and wine) do not appear in the Total Wine store locator.

It is exactly that. Seems that the spirit of the law (regarding selling beer, wine and spirits in the same store) would have wanted to prevent what they're doing, but there must be some wiggle room that allows the "two" businesses to operate under the same roof...
