Funny you mention the current "beer guy/manager" at the West Hartford store. I was told by employees in the beer dept. at the Milford store that he used to work there. I learned this when I asked the Milford store why it was a beer wasteland there? Lots of product missing on shelves, gaps and empty spaces etc. They seem to get very little of the harder to get stuff in Milford. Shit ton of very old product on shelves. Who ever the current manager there is terrible. I had to let them know Lagunitas high westy was avail., as they had no clue. Seems just the basic stuff hits shelves there. For example, they currently don't even have any Stone Tangerine express, guy looked at me like he had no clue it existed. Again, some basic releases never make an appearance there. Sea Hag sometimes is a secret handshake there. I saw some Smuttynose finest kind the other day with a best by 8/16 and Otter Creek back seat burner bottled February of 2016. Employee at Milford store said current manager in west Hartford knows his stuff and always makes sure they get the good stuff. Milford store beer selection is miserable, not sure how the current beer manager keeps his job.

Completely agree on the Milford Total Wine. They're still pushing the Harpoon/Long Trail/Otter Creek/Two Roads type stuff. I used to not really care for Wine & Spirts, but Total Wine is worse. So I have been going back to Wine & Spirits if the mom and pop spots don't have what I'm looking for.
