This is something I've tried on occasion, to visit two, three or more brewhouses in one day. It's hard.

Anyone else done this? There are some geographic groupings- the breweries/brewpubs in the Fox River valley is one, a circular routing through Lake County is another. So is a similar routing through DuPage County. Now one can do a Des Plaines River valley hop, too.

The city is easy. It can be done in a grid system.

There's bus tour companies doing this now, correct? Any info on that? Thanks.

I usually drink too much at the first one and then can't make it to any other ones.

I have not done this. There is the Chicago Brew Bus Co. They do brewery tours and their buses can be rented by the hour.

I spent a Saturday earlier this year going from Lagunitas -> Map Room -> Revolution. Revolution had some surprise amazing barrel aged offerings on tap (Cafe Deth the standout) and it got a little sloppy near the end but it was fun. Probably spent 30 bucks on ubers getting around.
