So Im guessing this is gonna be tough by what I know of the town but I have a friend in Towanda PA for work and he offered to pick me up some stuff since he knows I enjoy craft beer. Anyone have any info on a decent place to go in the area? Any seasonal/limited releases out right now he should keep an eye out for? Suggestions for things to get? Any and all help/commentary is appreciated!
Update. He is actually stopping is stopping in Scranton to do the shopping. Any suggestions for Scranton?
Tröegs, Sly Fox, and Yards are three great PA breweries that are not likely distributed to Texas. Victory & Weyerbacher are also great breweries from Eastern PA to seek out if not available in your area. Southern Tier of NY may also be an option for you, I'm not sure how widespread their distribution is at this time. All the above mentioned breweries make solid beers and are worth looking into trying. The Wegmans in Scranton or Wilkes Barre may be the easiest bet for finding these beers.
Thanks! Any special releases that may be around that area right now? I seem to remember hearing ST Crème Brulee and Choklat tend to stay on shelves up there?
Jessup beverage may be a good stop. I picked some hoptimum up there today. I think I also saw some creme brûlée on the shelf if that is what you are after.
I wouldn't say its what Im after, but I haven't tried it and am interested. Just started seeing kegs here in Houston, Texas and they kick in under an hour....
