I've had a kergator for a couple years that I purchased from Beermesiter. I've been very happy with it; it's most likely a Danby conversion (has a cold plate). That said, I'm not a DIYer and am freaked out that if I drill into the unit to run a tower cooler that I'm going to damage something. Am I being irrational or is there another way to run the power source to an outlet? Was looking at this at Beverage Factory: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/towers/tower_adapter/17D02-105-beer-tower-cooler.html

Cheers and thanks in advance for the help!

I have a cheap igloo kegerator that I've upgraded with a tower cooling fan and hose. Pretty similar to what you linked. Inside my kegerator, there is a small shelf where the 5 lb tank of Co2 would sit and in the middle of the shelf, there is a drain for whenever something happens. What I did, (since I have a 20 lb tank outside my kegerator) is used the flexible pvc free antimocrobial 3/16" I.D. tubing and shoved it through the drain hole. Well then, I bought my tower cooler and I didn't want to drill into my kegerator as well so I just removed the Co2 hose and ran about 4" of the power strip cord from the outside in (through the drain tube). Then, I used some ass to run the Co2 tubing back through the drain hole, (FROM THE INSIDE OF THE KEGERATOR, much easier that way). Personally, that's what I would do again. Pretty much a perfect fit. I couldn't use the vinyl tubing because it would not provide the flexibility that I needed because my compressor is right underneath my drip tray. I also used a strip of the black plastic covering type hose that you would wrap wires with for some trailer lights to prevent it being heated too much from the compressor. Hope that gives you a great visual as to what I am referring to.

Then you "used some ass to run the CO2 tubing". Sounds interesting at your house.
