Town Hall Anniversary Week

"Friday 10/25: A special release for cider lovers! Crispin will be at the Brewery to release their Bourbon Barrel Aged Crispin cider." - Anybody know if this is going to be Bird On A Wire or the new Georgia peach, mint and honey? Or maybe even something else?

 

My wallet hurts already. I haven't seen the email yet, but wonder if they're going to growler Three Hour Tour this year.

Crap, well maybe I'll try to get down there for a pint of Mango Mama. I've never gotten the liberty to try it, doubt I could justify what they'll charge to try and get a growler.

 

Dangit. Between this and Darkness Day, I picked the wrong week to be in Spain. I actually knew I was missing D-Day, but forgot TH week also coincided with the same timing.

Guess I'll have to drown my sorrows in Tempranillo and Sherry!

 

Think its 24 for a growler. What is regular masala-12? Mangos are expensive

 

wife and i today decided we might take a weekend trip up to minneapolis oct 26th-27th, would be my first time trying anything (and visiting) town hall and surly, get on here and realize this is going on + darkness day...looks like it might not be such a good idea :/

 

Actually, as a frequent buyer of mangos, they are really cheap. If that price differential does happen to play out, it is more capitalistic supply/demand than it is actual ingredients (and maybe some extra labor/resources).

Does that include a new growler? Or is that on top of your own?

 

W/ growler-believe 21 for a refill. I think it was noted in the email they sent out.

 

Come to Darkness Day, there will be Surly taps (probably including Darkness), a tasting table, food, music, etc. And if that's not your bag, go to Town Hall. Although, keep in mind that Surly is not open Sundays but Town Hall is.

 

i do not know anything about darkness day & just assumed it was a tickets only type thing or at least a huge cluster F with parking/lines for beer/etc...and kinda figured town hall might be as well if this is going on. it does sound fun though and this would be for all intents and purposes a beercation, and trying some limited stuff is always fun, so we will think it over.

 

Darkness Day is amazing. No tickets to enter, $4/pour of some amazing beers (Darkness, Surly regulars, and usually some awesome draft-only Surly). Plus the biggest and best bottle share I've ever seen, in line the night before and the morning of. Buying the bottles is almost an afterthought to the rest of the fun.

 

Town Hall might be crowded but I don't think it will be a cluster. Darkness Day is no tickets, and lines aren't bad. It's not Dark Lord Day.

 

If you can get in Friday night, Darkness Eve at Stub and Herb's is also an option. Surly will have Darkness '12, Darkness '13, Smoke '12, El Hefe Negro, Damien, Syx, SeVIIn, Surlyfest, and probably some other stuff. Guest beers will include BCBS, Abyss, War and Peace.

 

Anyone hit up the 3HT release? Are they selling growlers? If so, what's the price?
