I can't speak for the growlers, but I popped open one of the 2012 bottles...yuck. And I've got a few more I haven't opened. I love Town Hall but man was that a disappointment.

Which one did you open? A few were confirmed infected...I recall the Czar Jack & Buffalo Bock were bad, but don't remember if there were any others.

Those 2012 750mls were well known for being sketchy, but you guys are still hanging on to them?

A friend just opened Tumaltuous Rare and Twisted Jim a few weeks ago. Both held up well (esp T Rare) but another year and the oxidation would be too prevalent. Also, switching from aging Twisted Reality in Jim Beam to Buffalo Trace barrels was very much the right decision.

I opened a Twisted Jim and it was definitely not good.

I've got some Tumultuous Rare and Czar Jack that I am worried will have similar results.

That was an awesome release, showed up at about 9:30, got everything I wanted except for the reserve. Pretty sure everything is still left aside for the foolish reserve and czar jack (I got growler #120, so imagine it's gone). There weren't many people behind me.

Was there about an hour ago and tickets for everything except Foolish Reserve and Czar Jack were still available.

So it doesn't look like I'm going to make it down there today. And I'm a noob with a few questions. So please excuse my ignorance.

If I stop in at 5:00 tomorrow, I should be able to try both the regular Foolish Angel, and the reserve on tap, correct?

Also... are there growlers held back for day-of sale, or were they all spoken for today. And will they still pre-sell growlers tickets tomorrow for beers released later in the week. (Assuming they haven't sold out) Specifically looking for the Manhattan and the Project 3106.

Finally... I thought I heard that they were taking back empty 750's. If I bring in my empty TH minis will I end up paying $14 for the new ones instead of $18?

    Thanks in advance!

Correct. If you stop in on Monday you can get Foolish and reserve on tap. ET Wee tix are spent as well now too and I doubt Buffalo Bock, Manhattan, and Twisted Trace last til 5PM tomorrow but there will be something still available.

Does anyone remember when they take all of the BA beers off tap? Is it next Sunday or Monday?

I believe they run them until they are empty. I know CJ and a few others have stretched into the following week in some prior years.

I could've sworn they pulled them all last year at the end of the week, especially now that they always have one tap line dedicated to pouring a BA beer. Then again, maybe my memory is faulty. If only someone would develop an app for my phone that would let me contact someone there to talk to them in real-time...

This is correct. We pull them off on Monday morning (2/27).

Yes, you are correct on the empty 750mL growler returns. $4 credit per.

Do you know if this was a change in approach from earlier years? I am nearly positive I had Czar Jack the following week, but that may have been a few years back. Or it may have been Monday lunch, and I snuck in under the wire?

Or perhaps it's just early onset dementia.

Yeah, that year was quite a disappointment. It was sort of exciting when they went to bottles, but the widespread infection issue was a buzzkill for sure.

One silver lining (debatably) was that a bunch of those were traded away and the infections probably put a damper on their trade value. This may have helped keep the size of crowd chasing them in future years just for trades a bit more manageable, and kept more of them available locally. Just a theory...

They started this last year. I stopped by the Monday after to be severely disappointed that nothing was on. I was told that it was because of the permanent BA tap line (they said they were planning on other locations as well).

Why pull these before they're actually tapped out? Been a Town Hall raver for many years and this just seems like a lame decision. On vacation and not returning until next Monday. Guess I'm s.o.l. on trying these
