No Buffalo Bock this year which makes me sad.

Thanks for posting the reminder! Looks like Town Hall brings out us old timers from the OG Midwest forum days.

This was off my radar, and it is a great event every year. Bummed I missed out on a few of the crowlers, but they still have Foolish Angel, so I am happy. I am hoping to make it for lunch once each week to try a variety of the offerings.

 

Nice lineup this year. Had many but not all of the releases.

My favorites were Double Barrel Wee, Double Barrel Czar, and Double Oak Tripel (biggest surprise of the year for me). I also thought this was an “on” year for Project 3106, which can be inconsistent from year to year.

Was a bit disappointed with Foolish Angel, which is usually a favorite. Good but not great. Regular Czar also seemed underwhelming this year, but maybe just next to the Double Barrel version.

Already looking forward to 2023!

 

The 2021 version of Foolish Angel was on tap at TH Lanes a few weeks ago - it was delightful. Had Foolish Angel, Czar Jack, and Twisted Trace in a flight earlier this week. Really enjoyed all of them, didn't think Foolish Angel was much of a step down from 2021, but wasn't quite the same.

 

Everything I’ve had so far has been madness. Holy Christ do I love their barrel program. So much of their shit - I’d love to see go blind against Side Project. Yeah I said it!!!!!

 

Wow are Twisted Trace and Czar Jack awful in cans this year - thin, tinny, just off. The ET Wees are banging but wow are these bad. Ughhhhh - esp bc I had a Twisted Trace on tap @ the brewery when I picked up my cans and it was banging!! Wild difference.

 

Maybe you got a bad fill? Czar Jack was great out of the crowler when I opened mine. Shared it with two others and everyone enjoyed it.

 

Yeah could be. I have one more of each. I’ll try again - but weird.
