last year there were several days you could get some of the day before, so show up at 4, get a good spot at the bar, and you might have a good shot of the day's before's pour. Plus you get the chance to see other BA's doing the same. My favorite from last year was the Buffalo Bock, which I believe was Monday and lasted until Wednesday, and I believe I got the last one. So as far as last year, you've got a chance.

Hey, thanks. I'm thinking if I want to try some twisted trace, I'll want to get in there Monday or Tuesday?

money is tight for me this year, gots to love disability. So probably the only way I am going to taste this years offerings is probably to have single pours. So..... will probably be there every day.

Ironically I was there the Saturday or Sunday after (I can't remember when) and they still had some Czar Jack and one other. This year my monies are super tight right now so I may swing down to try any of the ones I didn't have at Winterfest or to get my hands on that Manhattan again so damn good that one is.

    RARE BEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
    *****************
All releases will be at 5pm
Monday 2/18- Twisted Trace- Our Barrel Aged Barley Wine has never tasted so splendid. We changed to barrels from a different distilllery because we were unhappy with the performance from the barrels we used before. Wow, that was the correct decision
Tuesday 2/19- Double Barrel Aged Jack Frost- This Imperial Stout was aged for one of our aging seasons (6-12 months) in a whiskey barrel and then moved into a French Oak red wine barrel fresh from California and aged for another season. Special Beer!
Wednesday 2/20- Manhattan Barrel- Production on this beer will be incrreased next year! We stopped at a distillery we had not yet used (that I believe has natural cherry character) for a prospect barrel. We aged our Grand Cru with tart cherries for many moons then added it to this fine bourbon barrel. Well my father in law introduced me to Manhattans (he does not use bitters) I think he would be proud of this Bourbon "Manhattan"
Thursday 2/21- Buffalo Bock - The return of the bourbon aged Weizenbock from last year. This beer surprised the brewers and the customers the first time it was made. It really is nice
Friday 2/22- Tumaltuous Rare- Our wheat wine aged in bourbon barrels. Nice and delicate, this one offers great toffee character
Sat 2/23- Czar Jack- Russian style Imperial stout. Nice beer and for those of you that missed the coconut character that we usually get from the wood last year....it is back this year! (I missed it)
These beers will be sold in growlers this year. They will all be available but only by tickets. Tickets go on sale this sunday when we open (11am) prices will be $45 for Double Barrel, $40 for Manhattan Barrel, and $30 for the rest. You will be permitted to by up to one growler of each style while they last. Due to supply, we will sell only 30 Tumaluous Rare, Manhatten Barrel, and Double Barrel jack Frost, 60 Buffalo Bock, and 100 each of Twisted Trace and Czar Jack.

Good god, I was planning on heading in from the burbs that Sunday, but am really wondering what time would be early enough to secure a growler of each.

The bar closes at 2:00, so I would say the line would form at 2:01?

I may try to get down there for a glass of Jack Frost. I'll second the Manhattan being awesome, its in my top 5 from winterfest.

Don't everyone freak out now - last year had 100 bottles of a couple of the offerings, with a 2 bottle limit and a lower cost. 10AM was fine for getting all bottles. It takes a certain kind of crazy to be interested in such things, especially at these prices.

That said, I'm glad I just got a good deal on a new winter coat. See all you crazies bright and early (not too early).

Not sure it's worth it, given the tiny counts, high prices, & probable mob of slightly-foaming beer people. Thinking I'm just going to be stopping by Town Hall for pours rather than scrumming with y'all.

Looks like it will be an interesting morning with a low of 28 and 70% chance of precipitation. Decisions decisions

Exactly what I'm doing this year. Going for pours only. I was there every night last year for pours & my bottles, but sitting out on purchasing growlers this year.

Have fun folks & see some of you down there during the week!
