Out of curiosity... How long do growler fills of these big beers last for generally speaking? I know I have seen people exclaiming that they have saved growler's from the Town Hall big beer week for a year, or perhaps more..? Cheers!

I'd be wary of people (& whatever species @mothman is) claiming long hold times for Town Hall growlers. The older ones certainly stood up much like bottles - but it's still an open question if the big-mouth growlers will perform the same. Last year was the first year of those style growlers, so it was a change. That said, I only kept one from last year, but I sure hope they hold up as well as the previous ones!

Corey @maximum12 makes a good point. However previous years held up amazingly well. I opened a '14 Twisted Trace on NYE and it was money. Age improved it in my estimation and it was better than what TH currently has on tap - which is also lovely.

I just opened a Manhattan Reserve from last year, and it was fantastic.

They have already gone away from the Mason jar type growlers. They now have medium-mouth (maximum12's college nickname) growlers.

Just opened Foolish Angel and it held up well also. Carb was totally fine.

Note to 2015 self: do not get absolutely obliterated the night before and spend the next morning on the bathroom floor rather than in line at TH like 2014 you did.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Nor do I remember running into you in college, but I'll just add that to the list of things I don't remember. I hope we had fun...

My experience with the wide mouth growlers from last year was that some of them didn't seem to hold up quite as well. I didn't mind because this just encouraged me to drink them all within a couple of months. The new design looks awesome though. See you all on Valentine's Day...

Do the new 750s from TH use the same size cap as the 64oz ones?

I would say yes , Hammerheart uses this style growler and they are the same size cap.

Of note, saw somewhere that TH had to dump all the 2016 czar jack...so that won't be one of the 12

I can verify it was infected. Not direct from the source but confirmed from the source by a friend of mine.

Something to do with either the barrels themselves or the barrel prep.
