Sad sad news. One of my favorite bars and one of the original New England craft beer dedicated bars. Made a number of friends through beer related connections at Track. Will be missed by many. Crossing my fingers that someone buys it and keeps it going, but hard to replicate a place that I've described as both my favorite dive and craft beer bar, but still felt comfortable bringing my in laws after dinner.

Beat me to the thread creation. Very sad as there was no pretension here, beer snobs alongside Bud drinkers alongside craft virgins. No frills and fairly cheap for the pours they gave.

Bummer that there was no advance notice so we could give the bar and Dave a proper sendoff.

I never got there nearly as much as I wanted too, this is a bummer. I loved the low key, no frills vibe there.

I am legitimately bummed out. The KBS taping was a nice nod on the way it. But what the hell, guys? Dunzo. Nothing moving forward? The pioneer of craft beer in the state just shuts the door. Why, Dave?! Why?!

Visited one time. It was a after I arrived on a flight at TF Green. Provably mid afternoon during the week. Thought I had the wrong place. Down a dead end on a semi residential street. Great place I had the stone grapefruit collab. Just as described. Bartender a woman was very friendly. Had a couple alongside two guys slamming bud light while playing darts on what seemed like a lunch break. Since they exited quick saying they gotta get back

My sense was that a lot of the cabbies from the airport drank Bud bottles before/after/during shift. Made for a great atmosphere of half the bar geeking out and the other half playing keno.

My favorite bar ever. Love the mix of beer geeks and non-beer geeks. Totally unpretentious, very friendly and extremely fair prices. I'm very sad to see it close and don't know anything about the circumstances but I wish the best to Dave and hope that the reason for closing results in some positives for him.

Bummer. I hit this place a year ago prior to a flt out of PVD, wished there was a place more like it closer to me. A good counter to the beer-geek hipster-centric places around Boston.

Being to drink craft without hipsters or whale chasers. The place was perfect for those of us that just liked drinking good beer and occasionally lucking into something awesome.

As said, the best part about the place was sitting there. Drinking some world class stuff at a very reasonable price right next to some 9 to 5 local that was slamming a vodka tonic or a crowd playing darts slugging Bud bottles. Eclectic, comfortable, raging jukebox, friendly bartenders. It was all there.

Apparently the building(s) had been on the market and they finally sold. So maybe we see something in the future. Albeit very different. Maybe the Doreghty's folks? I didn't realize Doreghty's had bought/revamped the Shannon View. Could've he the nail on the proverbial coffin.

    Either way, I'm still grieving.

What the fuck!? So bummed out man. It was my main spot, but I definitely got there every other month. This sucks. That place was great and it was the designated meeting spot for friends that didn't want to drive all the way up to my neighborhood (north of Providence now) and when I didn't want to drive to their places in South County. Very bummed about this and really bummed I couldn't have hit it one last time. I wish they had spread the word about the closing so folks could have helped them kick all the remaining kegs.

Truly a bummer. Thanks for great memories Track 84. I'll always remember draft pours of Aecht Shlenkerla in the official glasses. Amazing. Best of luck to all owners and employees, I hope you all land on your feet.

Edit to above: It should say it wasn't my main spot in the first line.

The Track is the spot that introduced me to craft beer; so bummed to see it go. Best prices and selection in the state. Hopefully another bar/restaraunt will pick up Dave as their craft guru if he wants it still! Would love to see him around.

Saw the post on FB. Awful news and also seemed rather abrupt. Glad I had one last visit in a couple weeks back. It's a routine for my wife and I to stop when we go up to Warwick, every couple months or so. Won't be the same without it...
