Which would you choose? Cali Brandy Huna or Assassin? Both are really high on my wants list but I have not had either of them. For those that have been lucky enough to have both which do you prefer?

I would advise you to spell the word "advice".

I've had neither so I'm really here just to play grammar **** and take the piss.

To answer OP's question, having had both, I'd just go for Assassin.

I had Assassin and it was really good, but I love Huna. Regardless of what we'd choose, you're talking about 2 beers with different flavor profiles. I'd look at what's in each beer and decide which type of stout you'd like better.

My guess is that neither would truly disappoint you given how well both are thought of.

Although you'll never get consensus on this, having had both beers fresh and with some age to them I prefer Assassin over CB Huna anyday of the week. CB Huna fresh was a lot tastier, but it has fallen off a good deal IMO. Still worth seeking if you're able to land a bottle w/o giving up too much. It's funny but I prefer a fresh regular Huna over most of the barrel treatments. Like smartassboiler said, they're 2 completely different beers. I'm sure you'd enjoy both

I think a lot of people will agree that fresh Huna is greater than aged Huna. Not sure how that carries over to the variants.

Neither will come easy, but I'd go for whichever one you don't have to liquidate your collection to obtain
