Question I want to try these beers from around the country, but don't have access to beer in Tallahassee that people want to trade for. I know that trading for cash, or selling beer is frowned upon, but what other options do I have? What do y'all do? Thanks Nick
- Traveling and purchasing beers that you want or can trade - Finding stores that will sell and ship beer to you - Trading local-for-local in-person when people come to your neck of the woods. This is still doable unless you're basically limited to BMC, it just might take some patience. - Finding and making friends near you who are willing to share their excellent beer. Try not to be a mooch and be thoughtful with what you can contribute, e.g. homemade food pairings, nice cheeses, chocolates, etc.
It looks like you have access to Cigar City, you should be able to set up some locals for locals trades with their brews, especially Jai Alai. As Heretic points out above, consider making a weekend out of heading over to Cycle or CCB or 7venth Sun for limited releases or growlers. Most people have to do some traveling to pick up more desirable bottles for trade. Also, do you have any friends/family in other states?
