Another trade input Brooklyn Black ops and Ivan the terrible for MZ 11 and 12 thoughts? Fair? Can it get done?
It's off a bit on $4$, and probably a bit more on rarity too. It's not an unreasonable deal, but I'm not sure it gets done. (Assuming you are the one with the 2 Zhukovs) Black Ops is pricey - usually close to $30. That plus Ivan is going to run $40-something. 2 Zhukovs are in the $25-$30 range. Ivan is also the rarest of the bunch, by far. Not sure on precise bottle counts, but Black Ops is pretty limited too - possibly even moreso than Zhukov. I think the 2 MZ side does that deal all day, whereas the Ivan holding side would look for a bit more. Your Ivan/Black Ops might be a tough combo too - Brooklyn is east and Big Sky is west - not even sure if they have many (any?) states that overlap distro.
^ Where did you get those prices from? Black Ops sat on shelves in NY around $20, and Ivan saw distro for $20 as well. Logistics may be an issue, but MZ gets sent all over the country by traders in quantity. You can even order it online and have it delivered.
I've never seen Black Ops in New England for much less than $30 - it's usually $27-$28ish. It only lingers a bit due to the high price tag, but still moves pretty quickly. $20 sounds really low, especially to be sitting on shelves, but I'll take your word for it. I realize both Black Ops and MZ aren't exactly 'rare' beers, but they are both much more limited than a run of the mill shelf beer.
Unless you're trading with someone outside of FL, Black Ops sees distro in FL. I'd argue that while B'Ops hangs around here forever (even now I can get it in a few places), MZ disappears like a fart in the wind. And MZ is an all around better stout.
