I'm searching for a Bourbon County Vanilla and have been having a tough time. What is worthy of it? And on the other side, I have 2 Jolly Pumpkin Vintages....don't know the exact age, but I know they are pre-2007 for sure...Oval Labels. They are La Roja and Oro de Calabaza....what do you think I could potentially get for them? Cheers guys.

Vanilla is a really tough get. At this point anybody holding onto one is doing so for aging purposes and is not likely to trade.

also, those vintage jps are probably not going to be easy to move. i love love love jolly pumpkin, but vintages of their regular stuff (i.e. not the special releases like bambic, perseguidor, etc.) are not regularly traded here so it's a bit hard to put a value on them.

agreed, and trading stuff that isn't limited, just aged, doesn't really go for much beyond similarly aged regular beers. Age seems to factor in differently than rarity and occasionally you can find beer that will trade for rarer beers that are new but the vast majority of beers with several years on them that trading for rare beers is not due to age but rather to low bottle counts when the brewery was younger. For instance: Dark Lord from 2008 or newer doesn't trade all that differently, I realize that 08 trades for more than 12, but the reason 04 trades for whales isn't that it's 9 years old (or 2005 would trade for the same thing next year), its that the bottle count was super low and only getting smaller atm.
