Does anyone have a good sense for what the BA Narwhal is worth in terms of trade value? I'd be most interested in trading for bcbvs, bcbcs, prop, or kbs. Please let me know if that's doable and what the ratio would be for each (1:1, 2:1?).

Since this is the first year they've made it and it was just released, I'm not sure what it trades for. It costs $20 per bottle.

I would say the BCBCS and KBS would trade $4$. I really have no idea on Prop or Vanilla, but I imagine it'd be 2:1 or 1+

Not going to get a Prop or Vanilla even at 2:1, IMO of course. If 2 Narwhal nets either then I FT too. Depending on who where maybe a bit better than $4$ on regular Bcbs/ kbs, Bcbs coffee etc. No idea on distro on this one though.

You might have a better chance if you can get your hands in a BA Maple Stout but those arent getting distro'd. Possibly one of each could land a Prop.

Id agree on the kbs and maybe the bcbs coffee but id guess it would take 2 maybe even 3 for a vanilla or a prop. The trade demand for both of these are going to be insane

I'll be even more realistic: KBS is your only hope and, relatively speaking, it's not all that great a beer. Perhaps drink your Narwhal and work on getting stuff that'll come closer to your big wants instead.

I remember a day that kbs was all that people wanted. Boy the times have changed

yea there was a cool post on here a month or 2 ago that showed the BA top 20 beers every couple years starting in the early 2000's, really neat and interesting to see.

There are cached versions of the site you can look up to see old top beers. It's pretty sweet.

But yeah, personally, I'd just drink it.

You're asking a great question. It looks like BA Narwhal hit the Bay Area hard with some places having no bottle limits. As someone said in the thread your chances are better with BA Maple.
