Trade Value Thread (2019)

One person is offering his Handjee '18 for BA Coconut Vibes 1:1, and couple of days ago I saw It Was All A Dream + Label Us Notorious for 1 BA Coconut Vibes. Trade values seem a bit all over the place at the moment. I expect it to settle in the coming week or so.

The feedback/comments on the BA Coconut Vibes is that it doesn't have all that much barrel presence, and is very similar to Coconut Vibes b2 (which is exceptional). But any time you add a 'BA' in front of an already highly coveted non-BA version, you can expect trade value to soar.

 

last I remember DO is about .5 VR units

That's the thing...I'm not even sure where to start. I want a bottle, just wondering what kind of ammo it would take to get one.

 

yeah but no one knows what kind of ammo you have....so hard to speculate a trade if no one knows what you are working with

as far as VRU....that I can say i don't know but maybe someone can chime in

 

I've asked this question in the past. The best impression I've gotten is that the people that own them want more than what people that want them have been willing to offer.

 

Would an Assassin ‘18 + MDb5 be able to land ManBearPig? Been a while since I’ve seen ManBearPig posted at all.

 

I'd say no, because there are so few and anyone holding onto one for trade is doing so for a massive haul.

Also, both Assassin and MD of any vintage are leaps and bounds better than MBP. It's really not worth the price of admission in any conceivable way.

 

For what it's worth, I traded 2x SP Jammy b2 for Kentuckley + Canuckley.

 

I figured it might be short on my end.

And I have read a good amount of mixed opinions when it comes to ManBearPig. I just figured as a fan of the Black Magicks I’ve had (Rye, Old Forester, BTb2 and Willett), that ManBearPig could also deliver and then some. Maybe not.

 

What's it taking to land a However Improbable?

Doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic on it in the completed trades forum, and I've put out several versions of trades involving Maple Bourbon Mexican Cake for it and have gotten crickets.

 

Currently valued at about .5 VRU. Might need a small plus added to the cake

 

As a counterpoint, I absolutely loved MBP when it was at the Good Vibes festival, but I'd say it's pretty important how it was kept. It's an amazing, unique stout if it was stored well, but if it's been stored in a closet for 3 years, it'll be a mess.

 

It might be "fair" but it won't get done. People are holding onto Starve B. I finally landed one but it was only because the guy was able to line up to grab one at the cellar release and he really wanted an Answer glass I had. I've had multiple offers up and have seen many "fair" offers get crickets. Last bottle I saw pull B was Assassin yellow wax. Otherwise people seem to want $ if they're going to let them go.

One Vanilla on MBC for $85 that won't close. I've seen people selling for $70 in the local groups and not closing at that price. I feel like they should max out at $50 but who knows.

 

Yellow wax Assassin?! As in pre-2014 yellow wax Asassin? Or did you mean Gold Wax Asassin (2014)? In either case, that is just dumb if someone made that trade for Starve B.

We also avoid any dollar talk in this thread. It’s trade value thread, not secondary/razzle value thread.

 

Okay 1) I'm sorry - I didn't realize about values not meaning $ amounts. I tried to edit ^^^ but too late.

2) I must be colorblind, sorry again. This is the last bottle I have seen pull a Starve B.
Veil KY Reserve Set offers are getting crickets. 2015 Snowed In offer got crickets. Last KY Reserve Box I saw pull Starve B had to add 3 bottles of Vast 3 to get it done. Just trying to make the point that "what is fair" and "what will close" are very different things on B.
