Trade Value Thread (2019)

My issue was not that it was unbalanced, but muted flavors. It is what I would expect a year old all day IPA would taste like.

 

That's unusual. It was dated and recent right? The batches I've had are overly hopped to the max, extremely bitingly acidic and sharp.

 

Yup most recent batch. I had the same issue with C64. Both just seemed (and 64 tasted very) oxidized. Reading some untappd reviews, looks like the last batch(the early April one) of KJ had the same issues.

 

Anyone have an update on the below?

I can tell you that I traded my Maman '18 for a Black Magick Silver (Willett) and a Black Magick Pink (Bourbon Brandy). The trade occured at the end of March for reference.

 

Ok sounds like a good trade as I honestly didn't think much of maman.

 

Looking for a BA Adjunct Trail, BA Cake Walk, Assassin, etc.. Have an Atrial Magnum (b8) for trade. What kind of plus is needed?

I've got some Prairie bottles (Bourbon Paradise, ABN, Okie Paradise, Cowboy Breakfast, Pirate Paradise), BA Rechoncho, Rye Medianoche, and some others. I haven't seen an Atrial Mag move in a while, so I'm not sure what value to place on it...

They are pretty close 1:1 due to people in LA just selling off bottles. Damon side may be able to ask for a small plus

 

was it just not that good? too hot?

 

I have not tried it, some say hot, others say good bourbon flavour. I think it will pick up value in a year, similar to how ff has. I think bottle logic is cranking out so many bottles now and people in LA are just liking to flip some of their allotments to go towards the next greatest and best release.

 

I think people got tired of BA stouts at that high of ABV thanks to Bruery and Avery long, long ago. And especially considering Black Tuesday was a big Cali staple during that time, with Theorum also coming out of Cali, they simply couldn't muster up the drive to hype something at that kind of jet fuel level.

 

I have a couple of your iso and just being honest I don't see it happening with Atrial. Not that it's a bad beer, but I don't think it has much value and it's going to be tough finding a stout guy who really wants it. If it was a BL mag maybe with a noche or 2.

First time venturing into the trading world! Trying to get an idea of what it will take to get a Bruery: Partridge in a Pear Tree and a Two Turtle Doves (non-BA version) to complete my set. Unfortunately my beer cellar isn't exactly diverse, I'm a Bruery Reserve member so I'm sitting on a lot of Bruery stuff but also have a good amount of BL stouts which seem to go for a lot more (based on trolling the ISO;FT forum, at least). Trying to figure out what combination of the below could/would land me the two beers I'm looking for but I'm not sure where to start (other than assuming FT will likely need to be in any transaction). Also open to trading my other Bruery beers and could share the list, just figure they may not garner as much interest based on what I've seen here.

What’s the value of cigar city Leon b1 would stasis beers like El Duende and beer geek observation be enough to land one?

 

That and the allotments are pretty high with it being an annual release. The mags are always a different story but you're absolutely correct for those bigger beers I only see assassin being attainable with some big pluses

 

Looking to trade for Nillerzzz or Crema. Would a BA Affogato get this done 1:1?

 

You're probably closer to Crema, but I don't think you'll get it 1:1.

 

Nilerzz will be red hot in the trade market.....You'll probably not get a good read on its final until the hype dies.

Maman 18 would seem to be the easiest to attain of that list but that doesn't mean it's easy to get
