eight 16 oz cans fit nicely. you don't need much bubble wrap because everything packs up nice and tight.

Yeah, as @SammyJaxxxx said. 8 in a medium or 16 in a large USPS flat rate. Otherwise you are just wasting $$. Works in the flat style or wide style. 2 layers in the wide style. I use the USPS flat rate padded shipping envelopes as my bubble wrap layers. They hold cans tight, are available at the post office, and self seal keeping everything tightly packed.

Was just about to @ you because I think you have created a nice diagram of how to fit cans into flat rate boxes.

Do you happen to have a picture of how you are packing these? Are you just not wrapping anything that is on the inside and protected by the other cans?

After I got a usps box that was pretty smashed up on the sides I worry about packing them that tight with no side padding
are you using zero bubble wrap? I find if I even do a single layer of wrap there is no chance I'm fitting 4 across while also putting them in ziplocks.(2-3 per bag)

I couldn't find the original one, but this is how you can fit sixteen 16oz cans.

Each can gets wrapped with one layer. Plenty of space. For mediums its 2 ziplocks with three and one with two. Three and Three on top of each other horizontally and the two bag on the side (cans on top of each other).
For cans I have been preferring the flat shaped shippers recently thought. A lot more room for bubble wrap in those. I line with extra layer of cardboard for protection or use the 4 pack plastic holders for an extra protection layer/space on the sides.

I've only had a few from NG, and their beers only seem to get better!

Wow, did not know. I've been sending only 12 per. I'll try that next time.

Though the last flat rate box I sent about 2 weeks ago went MIA. Hope it turns up.

Does anyone use regional a or b boxes for usps? I use those alot for west coast shipping ( I'm in SF ,CA) and comes out alot cheaper.

Not every post office has these. Many require you to order them. This is not to say (of course) that anyone can't or shouldn't use them, only that it takes some additional forethought to be able to use them. Many won't be able to walk into a post office to pick them up for a shipment later that day.

I just order them the same time I order my other supplies from USPS. I just order extra just in case but my order usually includes regional a and b boxes, flat rate med and lrg and padded flat rate envelopes. Post office are notorious for not having even the basic stuff. Just in case someone didn't know, all supplies are free and so is the shipping.

I really should do this. Normally (not that I have traded in...many months) I just pick up a bunch of the boxes at one time, and also the labels. I have never seen the padded envelopes, however.

Padded envelopes are good for small bottles or cans. You can fit 2-3 cans or rip in half and use each half for each can. Order them, you will find some use for them, trust me. :sunglasses::beers:

I've never used regional boxes but am curious to start trying. Where do you get the boxes? Just ask for them at the post office? There's no cost for them I assume. I always see a pile of the flat rate boxes there but not any regional ones

You have to order online, they come in packs of 10 I think. Just order the minimum, you'll find they come in handy for regional shipping. Oh and yes it's free , the boxes and shipping to your house/business.

Anyone have any idea what antead silver wax is trading for,in vru? Or are most people trading the whole set looking for more bang for the buck. I'm just trying to find out how big of a bottle I need to offer to grab one.

It's probably trading in the .75VRU range, maybe a tad higher. I traded my set 3:7, with the 7 bottles roughly around the beer you have FT... but I think I'm in the minority in trading for quantity. It was 1pp, so the majority of trades I've seen close for it are people trading up instead of trading for quantity.
